Our client, a forward-thinking local authority, is seeking an experienced Advanced Practitioner to support the management of a busy Child Assessment Team within its Children’s Social Care services.
The role
Working alongside the Team Manager, you will:

Support a team of six social workers (including one ASYE)

Oversee duty week every five weeks
-
Lead on case allocations and chair strategy meetings
-
Ensure child and family assessments, s47 enquiries and visits are completed on time
-
Monitor and support performance across the team
-
Provide ad-hoc and group supervision
-
Carry a small caseload of complex cases

Participate in monthly operational audits

Strong frontline experience in statutory children’s services

Deep understanding of child development, trauma, and safeguarding

Up-to-date knowledge of legislation and guidance, including the Children Acts

Confidence supporting and supervising others

A commitment to improving practice and modelling excellence

Excellent communication and decision-making skills
