We are recruiting experienced and dedicated child protection social workers on behalf of several London boroughs. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing child protection and child in need plans, ensuring the safety and well-being of vulnerable children and families.
Responsibilities:
- Manage child protection and child in need plans, working closely with multi-agency teams to ensure all interventions are appropriate and effective.
- Ensure the timely review and monitoring of protection plans, updating them as needed to respond to changing circumstances.
- Engage directly with children and families, building strong, supportive relationships to assess their ongoing needs and ensure the child’s safety.
- Attend case conferences, core group meetings, and court proceedings, advocating for the best interests of the child.
- Maintain detailed case records and reports in accordance with statutory guidelines, ensuring accurate documentation of interventions and outcomes.
Requirements:
- Qualified social worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Demonstrated experience in managing child protection and child in need plans.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Children Act and safeguarding frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary settings.
