About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Surveyor to join our growing team based in Altrincham. This is an exciting opportunity for a surveyor with a passion for the residential property sector to develop their skills and gain exposure to a wide range of projects across the UK.
The successful candidate will support senior team members in delivering a broad scope of surveying services, with regular travel to various residential sites across the UK. This role will suit someone with excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in conducting residential property inspections and surveys
- Prepare detailed survey reports, schedules, and valuations
- Support senior surveyors in managing and delivering residential projects
- Carry out defect analysis and assist in providing technical advice
- Maintain accurate site records and photographs
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities as required
- Ensure compliance with relevant health & safety and regulatory standards
- Travel to residential sites across the UK, with occasional overnight stays
Requirements:
- Some experience in residential surveying (through work or structured training)
- Relevant degree or working towards a qualification in Surveying, Property, or a related field
- Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
- Good knowledge of residential construction methods and building regulations
- A proactive, organised, and professional approach to work
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively
Desirable:
- Working towards or interest in gaining RICS accreditation
- Experience using surveying software and tools (e.g. AutoCAD, report writing platforms)
- Previous exposure to site work or client-facing roles
