Team Manager – 0–25 Disabilities Service

£54,684 to £57,726 (PO6) + £4,700 market supplement

Our client, a London local authority, is recruiting two experienced Team Managers to join their recently established 0–25 Disabilities Service, supporting children and young people with complex disabilities as they prepare for adulthood.

The role

You will manage a small team of qualified social workers, ensuring high standards of care, performance, and statutory compliance. As part of a joined-up service that bridges children’s and adult services, your focus will include:

  • Managing delivery of children’s social care for young people with severe and complex disabilities

  • Ensuring effective preparation for adulthood and seamless transitions

  • Providing management oversight, supervision, and risk management across all cases

  • Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to deliver holistic support

  • Supporting service development and contributing to the ongoing shaping of the 0–25 pathway

What we’re looking for

We’re looking for a qualified and experienced social work professional with:

  • A recognised social work qualification

  • Significant experience in statutory children’s social care

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities

  • Excellent judgement on risk and safeguarding in line with legislative frameworks

  • A commitment to inclusion, equity and continuous service improvement
